Personally, I adore Carol Channing and went through GREAT effort and expense to see her at the Regency in October. (Not complaining, mind you, I had a front row table and a bottle of Veuve Cliquot. What more could I want?)

HOWEVER, this IS one of the funniest threads I have ever read. I think Miss Channing would be the first to laugh at it. That woman's sense of humor puts everyone on this Board to shame. I mean, look...she had her picture taken with John Roberts. If that doesn't show her love of the absurd, what does?

I thought Carol was 6 feet tall! Most of those men are taller than her. Maybe she's shrunken in her golden years. Or they're all over six feet themselves.

Having seen the Goddess Carol Channing at Feinstein's in October, I can assure you that she has more energy and pizzazz than many other performers on the scene now. Even at the age of 85 she remains one of the most beautiful woman ever to walk the face of the earth. There isn't a wrinkle on her face.

My devotion to this woman is unswerving.

She adheres to a macrobiotic diet and is as limber as a gymnast. She and her husband make such a sweet couple. When she brought him on stage at Feinstein's I thought it was adorable.

From all accounts, she's been wearing those glasses since her "Hello Dolly" days. What's her secret? I can't seem to get a pair to last longer than two months before I either break them or leave them somewhere.

Sorry, Zoney--I might have seen the original question posed had that thread not become a personal chat room. I imagine many people have been left hanging as their valentine-elect didn't dare the banality of some people's "witty" repartee. You would think that 4 or so chat threads would be enough to contain such thrilling and exciting lives, but gosh darn truth be told, it must not be!

Unfortunately, I can't be your valentine as I am already taken. But, I am very flattered for the honor of your asking me.
