In this movie, when she says "People are calling me a Freak", the look on her face is enough to crack anyone up...

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I LOVE this movie - I cried when she died...it came out when I was in high school and my mother tried to forbid me from seeing it, until I told her I had already read the book.

Lol...just saw it the other night..Although i appreciate her wonderful acting...I couldn't get over how boring and dated this film was...

Quite possibly Anthony Hopkins' worst performance ever, and I've never been a Marsha Mason fan, but I still like to watch it when it comes on cable - I love the story, and Swift was fantastic.

Is this the film where they hypnotize the kid near the end and tell her to think back to a time, "Before you were born... before you were born...?" I think that creeped me out as a child.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
