My wife went to lunch yesterday with some of her old co workers
She found out her boss who had made her life a living hell had actually said he wanted her back because she knew what had to be done. He needed her badly but those above him would not bring her back (& she would not have gone). This made my wife's day & she looks forward to her new job starting Monday
He was reminded how he hated her & his reply was "I did not hate her but she was jewish & a woman"
We celebrate tomorrow by seeing Piaf & going to dinner afterwards.
Real sweetheart is this boy
Wow! What an absolute prick! Things happen for a reason and hopefully, your wife's new job is a much better opportunity. Mazel Tov! mom
I know it's the automatic American reaction, but couldn't you file a complaint against that guy for saying something that sexist and anti-semitic?
She no longer works there & this was told to her by an ex coworker.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I really don't understand the psychology of a co-worker repeating these things to Mrs Roxy. What good does it do for anybody? Mrs Roxy has already left with no intention to come back, right? "Oh by the way, he made these cracks about you being a woman and Jewish and that you wear inappropriate footwear. Do you like me even more now that I've revealed this to you?"
in total agreement with Namo......it did no good to pass this on, if anything it brough back old feelings
If it makes Mrs. Roxy feel better, that's all that matters. Although if I had been the ex-coworker, I would have left out the anti-Semitic comment.
gossip is never good
"Gossip is never good."
Just ask Clay Aiken. Oh...right...that's fact.

Namo - I think I understand the psychology. It's passive agressive. The co-worker didn't have the courage to confront the man directly, as in "You're a tool for saying that."
So instead, the co-worker passes on the gossip, in the hopes that someone else will fight the battle.

And let's not forget that the co-worker might be making it up even if it's 110% believable that such a thing would come out of his mouth.
