A very interesting film. Probably one of the most under-rated of the last 10 years. It is especially relevent now. If you have not seen it, get it. It deals with Iraq in the aftermath of The Gulf War. Anyone seen it recently? It takes on a fascinating twist since the recent events have come about.
If you get the DVD watch the making-of documentary.

PEACE.

It was a very good film. It underperformed in the theaters, perhaps it will get a second look at the rentals

THREE KINGS did very well when it came out on video in 1999. Any second chance it was going to get, it had a long time ago.

"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."

Such a great film. I saw it in 99 and loved it. Bought it on DVD. I did rewatch it recently, and it does carry more resonance in light of this CURRENT war.

I should have phrased it as such :)

It was my favorite film that year. I think Russell is a fine filmmaker. I also loved his FLIRTING WITH DISASTER.

Mary Tyler Moore was SO funny in that movie. That was one of the best that year.
