Anyone watching this new series? I'm enjoying it a good deal, for the most part. The acting is especially good, with Melissa Leo, John Goodman, Steve Zahn and particularly Khandi Alexander.
I fell asleep halfway through the pilot and never bothered to try and pick it up again.
My family thinks it's the best show on television. I saw the episode last night and didn't really get into it. My brother said it was a very uninteresting episode comparatively.
mmmm Steve Zahn

THe show is set in New Orleans about 4 months after Katrina, and shows assorted characters trying to get their lives back together. Granted, it takes a couple of episodes to get everything established and the stories running, but I've found it worth the time.
I watch and like the show...it has taken a couple of episodes to establish the characters and plot but it is starting to kick in now...plus the music is awesome
I have been a little curious about Treme for a while. I somewhat knew the premise of the show and was intrigued by it. I have HBO On Demand, so I watched the first three episodes last night back to back. Roscoe, it is a good thing that you said that it takes a couple of episodes to get into the swing of things. If I didn't know that, then I would have most likely turned it off after the pilot episode and not give the show the full attention it deserves. And, violet72, you're right, the music is awesome. Personally, I can't get enough of it.

Did anyone catch the final episodes? An all around excellent series, one of the best I've seen recently. It deserves to be better known. Melissa Leo and Khandi Alexander both deliver major award caliber work, and Steve Zahn managed to develop his character from the amusing clown in the opening episodes to a much more interesting person by series end. And any series with John Goodman is worth watching just to see him do his stuff.
An entirely admirable show that never sunk to the cutesy archness of so many other cable series. It feels rather self-contained, though. I wonder how they'll sustain it for future seasons.
I watched the whole season...I loved how the last episode was 90 minutes so it didn't feel rushed. I really like this show...it was very subtle at first and the last three episodes major things happened. Melissa Leo and Khandi were excellent, love their characters. When Melissa Leo was going through the truck and found the note your heart just broke. Also I loved the flashback, Can't wait to see what they do next season. I am hoping they release a soundtrack cause I will buy it.
