Oddly, the Tab Hunter book is available in NYC, but it has yet to appear on Long Island. I've ordered it from Amazon.Com and they've informed me that it won't be shipped until the 14th.

Great story and for further info Read the book about Henry Willson....which is an even better read!

Dolly: You'll enjoy the section on his performing opposite Tallulah in MILKTRAIN on B'way. He offers new, comelling details about this Diva of all divas, and is both reverental and blisteringly honest (and only a tad bitchy) at the same time. I had forgotten he even appeared on the NY stage. He include a telegram sent to him by Tennessee Williams, which is very poignant.

Met Tab and his longtime partner at a pre-pub party back in June. He's still sexy at 70-whatever.

But the star of the party was his good friend Joyce DeWitt! She was THRONGED!

I read the piece in the Times and saw the photos of Tab and Anthony Perkins on their double dates with two clueless white girls--does he say if he's a top in the book? I figured if he dated Tony Perkins, he's gotta be!

Yes, I read Tab's book and found it very well-written. The recollections about Tallulah were marvelous, but only two days after finishing Tab's book I attended Carol Channing's show at Feinstein's. She had her own memories of Tallulah which were hilariously funny.
