What type of despicable person accepts praise and credit for someone's work and imput?
What type of person gives the impression that they were responsible for something well done? When praised by a respected member of the same community, what type of person fails to correct a wrong impression? What type of person doesn't give credit where credit is due or at least notes that something was a very collaborative effort?
A bad one.

Ask Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
Chuck
Unfortunately it happens all the time.
I was once told the following phrase which I kind of like...
"A good leader will take less of the credit and more of the blame"
Then there's my favorite
"Karma's gonna come kick you back in the ass"
Craig I like you more and more each day.
I am dying to know what inspired this thread!!
Me, too, but I will add my two cents and say that this happens where I work ALL the time.
I don't know what prompted this, but I have a pretty good idea. Etoile, was it YOUR idea to turn RENT into a movie?

I served as the secretary of the Gay Democrats of Suffolk County for several years. However, I was getting fed up with the Chair and Vice Chair taking all the credit for the organization. Finally, after an art auction we sponsored--and one where I not only unloaded the artwork, set up most of it and then played host to the guests as they were arriving, these guys had the audacity to tell the membership that they were the only ones who slaved away to make the event a success, I decided to throw in the towel and quit. That was several years ago. They still call me and ask if I would resume my post. My answer is always a firm "No".
a miserable waste of putrescent cells masquerading as a sentient being.
*head meets desk*
And the irony is that this will be totally lost on she who inspired it.
like that was a secret, son. not with mister blabby-mouth going all goo goo gaa gaa.

She who inspired it. I like that phrase. Sorta rolls of the tongue like "she who dare not be named under threat of litigation" would roll.
And no, Sueleen and son [bet you never thought you'd see that phrase in a post], it has nothing to do with RENT or papa and Namo's torrid altar boy antics...we ain't talkin' the musical.
Now stop trying to back me into a corner. I don't give interviews.

Damn! I wanted to interview Etoile for BWW next month.
Another disappointment to deal with.

Next month, wow, I like the thoughts of starting off the new year. Dolly dear, I'm certain you know the proper route to take for an interview, we'll do lunch. But imagine someone thinking they can just saunter onto my website and think I'll answer any and all outlandish request.
Some may call that unprofessional. Who am I to comment.
