Talkin Broadway Question

This isn't a bash at all because I like TB. It was the first site I ever visited when I came online and I still enjoy their reviews but has anyone noticed that the traffic on their message boards has dropped off substantially in recent months? I used to go there several times a day because topics would drop off the board quickly and I wouldn't want to miss anything. Now I only visit once a day and there are very few new posts when I return. Where did everyone go? Updated On: 9/2/04 at 05:55 AM

I think a lot of people were lost in the shuffle when the board changed.... we all got emails about the change and were asked to respond with our username and blah blah....

If it's not that, I'm not sure. But I've noticed that myself.

A lot of people are sick of the gestappo tactics of the moderators. They recently ruled that any posts containing political opinions would be deleted.

Others actually quit the board because they "are tired of all the negativity". Some folks can't handle it if you disagreee with them, or dare to say anything bad about their favorite shows or performers. Two prominent members recently posted saying they are leaving for this reason. Updated On: 9/2/04 at 09:24 AM

Thanks for the replies. I agree that the constant email verifications have been detrimental to the board's traffic. I register all my board names with hotmail accounts and such to protect myself against possible spam, and I don't always check my email regularly so I have been deleted twice from ATC as an inactive member even though I was still posting regularly! The 2nd time it happened I decided not to go through the hassle of reregistering and I came over here instead.
