Ok I have a question...I'm sending in a taped audition for vocal performance to Catholic University of America and it doesn't specify on the website if it should be audio or dvd...so I emailed them and they never responded
I was thinking of sending both just in case. Thoughts?

If you are auditioning for a theatre or musical theatre degree, you need to send a DVD video and NOT an audio CD. They need to see you and hear you, and you don't want to inundate them with too much information. Also, when you make the video, make sure the background isn't too busy, try a solid colored wall, and preferably not white. It will wash you out.
Also, don't sing to a karaoke tape. Make sure that you have a pianist. Do a few test runs to make sure the blend between you and the piano is good (the piano shouldn't be so loud that you have to scream over it).
Schools for Theatre
The reason I'm asking is because its for Vocal Performance, and some schools prefer just audio...
