The popular burlesque/circus dinner show of San Francisco and Seattle is apparently opening a company in Chicago in the Block 37 shopping center which is scheduled to open...well...someday.

Anyone seen the show? The description sounds rather iffy, but the San Francisco website looks rather intriguing. I'm not convinced this is the best location for this show, but I could be proven wrong Block 37 is already planned to have a more upscale food court (similar to the one in Water Tower Center) and a Muvico theatre with VIP seating and restaurant.

Maybe in 2013? The progress on the north side of Block 37 is so slow. State Street is pretty lame at night, we will see if Block 37 can generate some traffic.

I saw this show years ago in SF, and it was quite fun. The theme then (don't know how much it has changed since then) was a 1920's circus. There was a trapeze act then, a torch singer, a chef/comedian and much more I can't recall. Dinner was ok, and some poor chap from our table got chosen to "make love to the soup" and ended up stripped from the waist up, eating soup.

I do remember the tickets were in the 80-100 dollar range then.
