I take great offense to the concept that the decision concerning Schiavo was 'Hitleresque'. While it may provide a different solution if you accept a god-centric view of reality, it is no less viable to approach the situation (indeed, all of life) from a secular humanist standpoint. The path chosen for her was made based on rational and thoughtful analysis of what was observable and understandable from a perspective of individual freedom.
Just because some people make the choice to have a foundation based on Christian dogma does NOT mean that a decision made based on alternative existential thought is inherrently evil - and the implication is insulting.
