Pros: all-important fund-raising ability, business and government executive experience, knowledge of both domestic issues and foreign affairs, articulate, telegenic, party insider, good age, potential to lock up the mid-Atlantic states (except WV) and New England
Cons: extensive ties to the Clinton machine, gun control position potentially off putting to midwesterners
