Hey guys, Today I just found out that they are filming a prequel to the remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". I am pretty excited. Did anyone hear about this and sorry if this was already posted.

A prequel to the remake? How do you know it's not a prequel to the original?

It has alot of the same cast from the remake and in Entertainment Weekly it says the prequel to the 2003 remake.

I didn't care for the remake too much personally, aside from some of the cinematography.

remake was better.... for one reason - the filming, effects, music, etc.

New scary movies have the technoglogy to be better, at least in my opinion.

Really the newer the scary movie, the better, for the most part. Two movies with that have the same plot... new one will be better, regardless (for the most part).

I dunno, just felt like sharing my opinion on that.

Anyway, I liked the new one, the old one was also good, but the new one was better IMO. So I'd like to see this prequel.

I totally disagree. So many of these recent horror movies fall back on new technology rather than atmosphere and characters you care about.
