The #1 reason Finding Namo must love Amy Winehouse

i'm watching the documentary about Amy Winehouse on her London concert dvd and was prompted to search for this story. I think it originates from The Evening Standard. I found it on a random message board:

AMY WINEHOUSE has launched an astonishing attack on Madonna, branding her 'an old lady'. The jazz singer, known for her vitriolic outbursts, scaled new heights when she let rip at Madge, who performed in London last night.

Madonna, 46, one of the world's biggest stars, may have sold millions of albums, but that clearly didn't faze Winehouse.

The 20-year-old snapped: 'I liked her when I was about eight. She was cute and that was about it really.

'Now she's an old lady.

She can't shock people any more.

'I think she should get a nice band, just stand in front of them and just sing.' Meanwhile, former S-Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens also received a tongue-lashing from the double-Brit nominated musician.

Amy admitted: 'I watch her singing on TV and I think, bloody hell, but at least she didn't write that.'

She also poked fun at Britney Spears: 'She's a joke. I wish her luck with her marriage - I hope it stops her going back into the studio.'

But North Londoner Winehouse, who has also criticised Dido and jazz rival Katie Melua, hasn't enjoyed their commercial success.

Although she has sold more than 200,000 copies of her album, Frank, she confessed: 'I suppose I am slightly bitter because I haven't sold as many albums as them, but as long as I'm true to myself, I don't really care.

'I want the record company to make their money back, but it's too easy for me to sing other people's songs.'

Winehouse, nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize, added: 'I'm not here to be famous, I just want to challenge myself. If it all goes wrong, I'll always have my music.'

The article is years old. It discusses her first album, Frank, not the current album, and refers to Britney Spears's marriage as still going on.

OMG! I hate Dido TOO! Do you think I'm Amy Winehouse in real life?

'I think she should get a nice band, just stand in front of them and just sing.'

EXACTLY. If only Madonna were that brave.
