I had to go to about 10 different stores very early in the morning the day they came out to get my Wii.

The only reason I hate mine is because I threw out my shoulder playing baseball and it hurt for like a week.

And Dirty Rotten Guy: that made me laugh SO hard.

So I went to the Wal Mart in my town the other day and they had gotten 9 in the night before. I got there at 8:15 and the store opened at 8. They were sold out. I wasn't looking for one, but still. That's odd for my town. (It's a small, small town.)

A lot of times they are already bought by employees. If it is a popular item like the Wii, employees will buy them and put them on Ebay.
I know Best Buy had a thing with the PS3 and the Wii that employees were not allowed to buy them the first day for that very reason.

I read that the makers of Wii are either re-calling or issuing new straps on all the machines because they are defective/not strong enough. Someone at work showed me a website featuring all the complaints - apparently a lot of broken dishes, television sets, etc from the remote flying out of the hand/strap

And for the record, as far as I can see, the Wii seems to be nothing but pure evil...it KNOWS...it sees you when you're sleeping...It...knows...
