so what has me confused is that when Mildred's partner was a woman, he was a lesbian? So he liked women. But now that he's a man, he likes men?

I think the sexuality switching being mentioned here has to do with bisexuality and/or the confusion experienced when a person realizes they are trans.

Yes, it's complex and may not make sense to some people, but I hope we can all have a live and let live mindset about it. I definitely don't see the need to take a stand against.

This is a time when we need everyone to work together to fight for equality. We can't afford to be exclusive of those who don't meet our approval of what's acceptable.
