Oh Namo, how I love this movie!

I heard about it on here around 4 years ago (I think Borstal mentioned it) and of course had to immediately buy it.

It's so campy, trashy, and downright 70s you can't help but love it.

It's on Netflix, now, apparently. Not that I have Netflix.

This movie predicted American Idol!
lure them into chains!

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

I saw this on Netflix awhile ago. It was interesting. I still like Xanadu a little bit more though.

^^^ The opening of that number was a precursor to the original production of "Carrie"'s "Don't Blame the Moon."

Bibi's hair gives the best performance in the film.

Oh, and you know that sexy song Pandi sings about "milk every drop of your love" (My Gawd what you could get away with in a PG movie back in the day) while dancers gyrate in sub-Airotica choreography on their Sealy Posture-pedics? You might want to know that a year or two before THE APPLE came out, Donna Summer did a little song called "Wasted."
Fans of THE APPLE might find the tune a little familliar...

It is too, Shakespeare. It's The Tempest in a tea room.

Ha!

It's the story of Adam and Eve set in the debauched excess of the 70s music biz.
