The Arthur Malet Love Thread

Okay, there have been MANY fangirl threads and "love" threads for all things trendy, and big stars from today and yesterday.

This one is for a character actor... still alive. Still going strong.

Arthur Malet

People love to say, "We don't have character actors like we used to."

Arthur is cut out of the old cloth. He was in Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and so many other films and TV shows. He's done cartoon voices, etc., and he's the bee's knees.

I'm watching him now in "Munster, Go Home!" Yes, I admit to it. We're watching "bad movies we love" today... and this is the perfect show.

Arthur just showed up in the movie, and I kept thinking of all his wonderful screen performances.

Here's to Arthur!

Arthur Malet is a wonderful actor! I loved him in Mary Poppins as Mr. Dawes, Jr. "Mad as a March Hare!"

I also love his vocal talent in The Secret of Nimh as Mr. Ages. I believe he also has an appearance in Young Frankenstein during the scene with the Towns People meeting.

Great actor!

I didn't know he was Tootles in HOOK!!!! I thought the actor was familiar but I was never able to place him.

What role did he play in CHITTY CHITT BANG BANG? I looked through the list on IMDB, but I didn't see a credit for that.
