Think of this thread as a sort of church basement, where we can hold a Barbecueholics Anonymous meeting. If you'd like to find a folding chair, there's a carafe of coffee right over there. I'll start.
Hi, I'm PiraguaGuy2 and I am a barbecueholic. I can't resist a good rib, forkful of pulled pork, or even some brisket - and the sides - don't get me started on the sides! A good bowl of baked beans or french fries can make me melt...what was I talking about? There's this barbecue restaraunt near me I just can't stop hitting up - anytime someone wants to go out for a meal with me I suggest this place. I always get my same old platter - St. Louis ribs, pulled pork, with cornbread, baked beans and fries. They also have a spectacular $9.99 lunch special on weekdays - a quarter rack of ribs or several other entrees with one side, a drink, and cornbread. I would take a trip down South JUST to taste different BBQ every night.
Anyone else like to speak next?

Did you ever go to Texas Roadhouse BBQ?
Not a BBQ reference, but their warm rolls with the cinnamon butter are amazing.

I haven't eaten at many BBQ restaurants but my favorite so far has been Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse NY. I was there several years ago but I believe they have closed that specific location due to illnesses.

I had a magical barbecue experience at a little hole-in-the-wall in Savannah recently.

Pal Joey, I know that place. I used to live on York St. in Savannah about three blocks from that place, but not in the alley (or "lane" if you live in that disguting little town). BTW that ain't bbq. It's crap.

"...disgusting little town..."? "...crap..."?
We did NOT have the same experience of Savannah!

All right, no more of this negative talk, nmartin!
BBQ is such a personal, passionate experience. Brothers have been divided and families destroyed over the issue of Western vs. Eastern style in NC.
Let's not let that happen here.

Unless you've been to Memphis, you don't know what bbq is.
Pish!
Memphis doesn't even come close to Kansas City's BBQ.
