Just started watching this show recently and I am up to Season 2 Episode 4 and love it. I was a fan of the "West Wing" many years ago so I thought I would enjoy it. I love Keri Russell in the role as a US diplomat and her love/hate relationship with her husband who is also a diplomat. Anybody else like the show?
I'm watching this, too.
I had no interest in it during its initial season 1 airing. What drew me in was the casting of Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford.
I'm currently binging my way through season 1 with the goal of eventually getting to "the good stuff" (Janney & Whitford). At this point, I'm more focused on how attractive I find a few of the male actors, than I am on the plot/writing (which, at times, I'm having difficulty following).
What's impeding my view of season 1 is that when I get disinterested in the plot, I open a second browser window to check on something different (like the BWW message board, for example). Next thing I know, the show I started out as "watching" has become more like background elevator music.
That's OK though, because I'm only doing a "speed through" to have a sense of what's going on when Janney & Whitford show up.
I had hoped that this show would be more like The Americans (with Kerri Russell and Matthew Rhys). I LOVED the premise, the writing, and the acting of that show.

I have finished Season Two and the last two episodes are really good. Episode 5 is when Janney makes her first appearance and the dynamic between her and Russell is very interesting. The ending of episode 6 leading into the 3rd season is a wow moment I did not see coming. Whitford makes his first appearance in Season Three.

I have made it through the 6th episode of Season Three and really enjoying it, two more episodes left. Whitford makes his first appearance in episode 6 as the "First Gentleman". He is an eccentric/odd kind of guy, and we will have to wait to see how big a role he will play later in the series.

Completed watching Season Three and there were a couple of surprising twists and storylines for Season Four. Highly recommend this show.
