Burns has been hit and miss for me lately (didn't really like his WWII doc and his sequel to Baseball felt rushed, unfocused, and worst of all, revisionist in terms of history). Glad to hear there are raves for this and I did like the Prohibition one he did not long ago.

Posted: 11/19/12 at 9:56pmThe thought that we are using water to grow corn to put in our gas tanks today when there may not be drinking water in the midwest in 50 years is pretty depressing and short-sighted. This is one of Ken Burns's best since THE CIVIL WAR, in my opinion.
