This was not their year. First the recent debacle in Beantown with the Yanks & now Ortiz's medical problems

There is always next year. They do need starting pitching though

I heard her practicing scales, darn it, but you're right - it's just not our year. We are used to this sort of thing by now - it's part of Red Sox Nation. Hopefully we can still plug along and bring up some promising talent that will help to at least keep us afloat for the rest of the year. We had some bright spots though, namely Jonathan Papelbon. :)
