No matter the outcome, I just have to say how excited I am that Martina Navratilova is in the Mixed Doubles semi-final - at age 49 - AND as out and proud as she ever was!

turtle - she's partnered with Bob Bryan, who is also in the men's doubles final with his brother. I hope he's hungry enough to win both the doubles titles to overcome his fatigue. She is still one of the top doubles players in the world, and this could be a real shot at yet another slam title - which would really make my day (and hers, too, I would assume!)

Well, she and Bob lost - but they did play a full, contested match.

And still, BRAVA to her for keeping in the game and viable - in life, as well as tennis.

TRUE inspirational people are sometimes easy to spot!
