Posted: 2/25/04 at 10:22pmIt's been said many times before, but tonight, watching the new documentary on 13, the Minnelli footage reminded me how startlingly enough, Liza's pop was almost a ringer for David Gest. I will avoid the easy, obvious Freudian stuff ... but when you look at Judy's (gay) Daddy, then Vincent ("he just took care of me!"), then David (Liza: "he knows what's best for me!"), there's a strange connection.
