Finally saw a preview of it this morning. LOVED the book (thanks Tazzy) I am really looking forward to the film. Anyone heard what the status of the kids in the film is? I understood the film was delayed because they were trying to get them out of Afghanistan before its release.
They got the one boy who is raped to Saudi Arabia last week
The film is absolutely amazing. Everyone in the audience was just silently stunned throughout - not in a bad way - it is just incredible.
DD - Also check out the trailor for "Under the Same Moon". It is on the Apple website to view. Can't wait for it to open.
Thanks taz. They left the other kid behind?
Haven't heard of "Under the Same Moon" but will make sure to check it out.
Brilliant book! Can't wait to see the movie!
Both boys have been removed, variety did a story on it a couple of weeks ago.

The boys and their families were relocated to the United Arab Emirates courtesy of the producers of the film a couple of weeks ago.
I figured something had happened since they had moved on with the release.
Hm ... the reviews have been luke warm. The local review said that not being able to get into Amir's head, one is not able to sympathize with him. I still hope to see it this weekend.
I want to read it before seeing it.
You should - the book is wonderful. One of my favorite books that I've ever read.
I'm sorry to see that the film isn't getting great reviews. I still can't wait to see it, but I can't help but say that when I first heard it announced I thought that Forster was all wrong for the project.
When I read the book, I imagined someone like Sydney Pollock, Ang Lee, Norman Jewison, or even Spielberg doing the film.
Is the book a quick easy read or is it hard to follow and take a bit longer to read?
For me, the book was an easy read. It's written beautifully, and I could not put it down.
Despite the two feet of snow we have here in Boston, I ventured out today during the snow storm to see this movie. I was the only one in the theater for the entire movie.
This is a beautiful heartfelt movie. It's only been a few hours since I have seen it and I can't stop thinking about it. Now I really want to read the book!
