#1The Kite Runner - Film
Posted: 12/12/07 at 11:34amFinally saw a preview of it this morning. LOVED the book (thanks Tazzy) I am really looking forward to the film. Anyone heard what the status of the kids in the film is? I understood the film was delayed because they were trying to get them out of Afghanistan before its release.

The film is absolutely amazing. Everyone in the audience was just silently stunned throughout - not in a bad way - it is just incredible.
DD - Also check out the trailor for "Under the Same Moon". It is on the Apple website to view. Can't wait for it to open.

You should - the book is wonderful. One of my favorite books that I've ever read.
I'm sorry to see that the film isn't getting great reviews. I still can't wait to see it, but I can't help but say that when I first heard it announced I thought that Forster was all wrong for the project.
When I read the book, I imagined someone like Sydney Pollock, Ang Lee, Norman Jewison, or even Spielberg doing the film.

Despite the two feet of snow we have here in Boston, I ventured out today during the snow storm to see this movie. I was the only one in the theater for the entire movie.
This is a beautiful heartfelt movie. It's only been a few hours since I have seen it and I can't stop thinking about it. Now I really want to read the book!
