Well, I know that this show has been mentioned before, but I could not find it on a search.

Just a reminder that the new season begins tonight.

Ok, so who watched. I'm so confused at Alice and HELENA?!?! WHEN the F did that happen? If I were Tina and/or Bette and one of my 'family' friend started hanging out w/ the devil, I'd be pissssed off. And I would've though going to a 'regular' yoga class would be below Helena. She should just move back to NY. Poor Alice has become a whack job. A funny whack job, but a whack job nonetheless.

And Shane, I totally dig you, but what was up w/ your hair girlfriend? Mommacita Carmen was a hoot!

And did anyone notice that was Daphne Rubin-Vega singing in the background as Shane and Carmen pulled up in front of Carmen's family's house? And that Adam Rapp is a creative consultant for the show this season?

I think at least a lot happened in this first episode. But this show makes me wanna throw shoes at the TV. I've never missed an episode. But sometimes, especially when Jenny is on the screen, I wanna pull my hair out. Yet I'm still addicted.

It was sad. Last night I was so beat that I fell asleep at 10:15.
I didn't wake up until I got to work this morning and realized that I left my cellphone in the charger. Have to catch the repeat.

I no longer have Showtime since I moved, so my best friend is supposed to be tivoing it for me. We'll see. So, i read spoilers. This season is going to be nuts. Did they explain why Alice and Dana broke up? The spoilers just said they did.

Oh, and Jenny? She is SO icky. I think they want us to care about her, but no one does. I think Jenny looks stinky. And tights are never a good look when you are planning on getting laid.

I miss Marina. Even the back mole.

(Anyone wants spoilers, I can post them or PM them.)

*Possible Spoilers*

JG, Alice tells her radio audience that Dana needed closure in her relationship with Lara, but apparently, she ended up dumping Alice. Nice twist, I thought.

They also alluded to something in Jenny's childhood that may explain why she's so f*cked up. By the way, I DO kind of care about her, despite the fact that she annoys the sh*t out of me.

Really? I just find Jenny annoying.

I think it's a little unfair to have had the breakup off screen. We watched and rooted for them to get together. Unfair, I tell ya!

I think they did it to completely throw everyone off. We were all expecting to see Dana and Alice right where they left off.

Now, I'm torn because before Alice got with Dana, I thought Alice was the most annoying character. Now, I like her, but I also really like Lara. I think a lot of people do, and that's another reason why they did it. It's all about the drama.

Oh yeah, we all loved Lara. I just want to see Alice's annoying ass happy. I am still having trouble getting over "Lisa," the lesbian identified male.

SPOILER

I thought they alluded to Jenny getting raped, or more specifically, gang raped, in her childhood. But, I could have misread the reference.

Jenny is the waffy novelist who was married to the oh so very hot Eric Mabius in season 1 (the only season I have seen so far), right? If so, yeah I totally want to punch her.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Yes, that's her. And she always ended up haaving sex or sexual activity with her tights around her knees.

**SPOILER**

I really think they may be alluding to the fact that Jenny was molested over a period of time by someone. Honestly, though, I don't know. There was no spoiler about it.

I guessing she was either molested or raped by someone in her family.

*Spoiler*

Her mother apologized for not protecting her, and Jenny thanked her, because it was the "first time she had ever acknowledged what happened to her." But they didn't say what happened.

I'm scanning past the spoilers posted since I'm trying to avoid them (though it's kinda hard when freakin CNN posts one under a picture).

I couldn't stand Jenny at all the first season until the last episode (I wanted to run her face through a window...yeah I have anger management issues). But 2nd season, I really started to like/love Jenny. Yeah she's in her head a lot, but that's just her. I like the zen thing she's got going on.

This season I really hope everyone gets back to being friends. Everything was just so dramatic last season. I started feeling bad for Jennifer Beals b/c she almost literally had to cry in every scene. I'd love for them to have at least one scene w/ the whole crew chatting at The Planet, like they did last night.

Last thing, it just drives me nuts that someone I can't stand so much (character, not the actress) is a series regular. Can't you leave the 'bad guys' to be 'guest stars?' Talking about Helena of course.

Now, Helena I LOVE to hate.

And, I think I softened on Jenny with how she handled the video taping thing and then having to see and hear Carmen talking about her in the kitchen to Shane.

Now, Helena I LOVE to hate.

Helena just makes me pull my hair out. I mean, I understand the need for an antagonist and all, but does she have to be EVERYWHERE?!? I swear I see more of Helena than some of the "real" main characters.

And, I think I softened on Jenny with how she handled the video taping thing and then having to see and hear Carmen talking about her in the kitchen to Shane.

Meaning, you thought Jenny was too harsh on what's-his-face (Mark?).

I am still having trouble getting over "Lisa," the lesbian identified male.

I think my all time fave L Word quote is in my sig. Couldn't stop laughing over that one.

No, I mean, I liked the way she handled him. She should have been much harder on him, but I liked what she said. I think she got through to him more than if she had just screamed at him and hit him (like I would've before pressing charges).

Oh ok. Good. What were your thoughts on Shane's reaction to the cameras? THAT one I didn't get at all. Shane almost acted like nothing happened at all. I expected her to punch him out. For good.

I liked Jenny's response too, until she let him back in.

I think Shane was affected by it, but from the different things that have been said about her in the past, she's had a hard life. I know they've said that she used to be on the streets turning tricks. I get the impression that she has a general distrust of people and expects to be let down, which is why she couldn't admit to caring about Carmen.

Interesting thought...hadn't considered that. I was trying to rationalize her reaction and the only thing I could come up with was that she actually got some benefit out of watching the videos. It helped her see that she was hiding behind this "no relationships" policy and that she really did care about Carmen. Actually seeing your behavior in front of you helps you see things you wouldn't have otherwise seen.

I'm sure that's definitely a big part of it.

The only thing I liked about the hidden camera storyline was when he zoomed in on her face, in bed, and it was like she wasn't even there. It was a disgusting invasion, but it did reveal a lot more about her character, having him focus in on her the way he did.

I am hoping there will be somewhere to download this episode soon. Since I haven't seen it, I will give you my reaction to last year.

Marina's suicide attempt. BULLS**T. Marina wouldn't try to kill herself. Bringing her husband in was pretty darn funny though.

Why in the WORLD would Ivan freak out that bad because Kit saw her/him naked? Does no one EVER see her/him naked?

The peeing thing. GAH! I will say no more.

I think they try to force the "Jenny is so creative and lives in her head" thing down our throats. She isn't that brilliant.

I hated EVERYthing about Helena except her mother. Her mother gave me the term "Hasbian" and she will forever be an important part of my life for that.

And YES, we GET it. Pregnant women can be sexy. Stop giving me naked pregnant chick last year.

Um...I thought the Tonya and Melissa Rivers thing was COMPLETELY pulled out of the writers' asses.

Where the hell did Gloria Steinem come from?

Gah.

btw, did any catch how the beginning scene tied into the rest of the episode? I didn't quite catch that.

WHO was the social worker anyway. That actress looked soooo familiar.

Is it just me or do Shane and Carmen together not work at all? Or maybe I'm just jealous of Carmen re: The L Word Or both.

And riding the bologna pony. re: The L Word

ETA: I have the replay on right now, and because I'm a dork and noticed this, in the whole Alice/Dana chase scene, when they're going through an intersection, they're both running a red light. Oops.

As for last season:

Were they both peeing? That totally didn't register and...ew. Yeah, don't answer that. Ew.

Ew.

I miss Marina. Now she was one interesting character who I loved/hated.

I loved Dana Season 1, and I HATED how Tonya basically ate (no pun intended) Dana for most of season 2 and she got almost no lines and no story. Girl needs to get back on her feet.

As for Ivan, just by going what I know of transgendered people, which was derived from very deep research from Boys Don't Cry, they basically believe they are that sex. So for Kit to see her bits just sitting on the dresser like that probably felt like a complete violation of him.

Yeah, seeing Laurel naked while preggers was uncomfy for me too. I couldn't help think that she was getting more action on the show than she was getting at home. Just weird.

***Spoiler***

Ok, so CNN spoiled it for me that Dana gets breast cancer this season. If Ilene Chaiken kills Dana I will be one f#@$^%# PISSED OFF BIATCH!
