The Little Mermaid

Posted: 12/9/05 at 2:04pmWhen is Disney going to release the 2 disc collector's edition? Since they started doing this back in 2001 with SNOW WHITE, we've since then had BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, ALADDIN, and THE LION KING -- all originally released after MERMAID. I figured it would have been one of the first, considering that it ushered in a new era of full-length animated musicals. I was fortunate to have been a kid at the time, when Disney animated films became such big events. The studio reached its zenith with LION KING. A year later TOY STORY was released and the rest is history. Personally, I prefer traditional animation to computer animation.

agreed. I would always look SO forward to disney movies! I also miss when they had songs in them...last time i checked, disney movies do not have original songs featured in them.

I heard rumors that the collectors edition will be released either next fall or fall 08. I'm hoping for next fall. I will buy that thing in a heart beat.
