Saw her last night in her Piaf show at the Metropolitan Room. She was breathtaking. It has two more performances next Saturday and the Saturday after. DON'T MISS IT!
Here she is in the one-woman show she did at the Zipper when she was doing Jacques Brel last year:

And here she is, 26 years ago, as Diana Morales in the 1982 Broadway cast of A CHORUS LINE, performing "What I Did for Love" from a TV special:

She was magnificent!
Edith Piaf was an enormous influence in Gay Marshall's life, and her performance is a valentine to her. I loved it. And have been listening to her CD all day.
If you can make one of the remaining performances, I highly recommend it!
(Eric Svejcar, who was the music director of Jacques Brel at the Zipper is the pianist and music director of her cabaret. He remains brilliant!)

If Eric is the MD, I would go just for that! His contribution and performance in the JACQUES BREL show staggered me.
Q, I can't take my eyes off of him. He is brilliant.

And honestly, how MANY instruments does he play?!?
The combination of her artistry and intent with his all-around perfection must be sublime.
Sublime.
C'est magnifique!
