I taped it last week & I am watching it now
David Mc Callum was not billed equally with Vaughn. The Mr Waverly character was called by another name & played by a different actor. When NBC picked it up as a series, Mc Callum got billing & Leo G Carroll came aboard. Vaughn even sported a different hairdo . It was called Solo as opposed to Man From U.N.C.L.E.
Quite interesting & it did bring back memories

I also remember that Illya made me wet!
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

He ( Ilya ) was in the recent revival of Amadeus. He did not have the same effect on me but some of Solo's conquests were a sight to behold
