I'm very much a Michael Myers guy. The original Halloween is my favorite movie of all time. I enjoy the Nightmare and Friday series very much, but the Halloween series was more arty and in particular the original was so beautifully shot on nearly no budget at all. Many of the scenes were shot by the light of car headlights.

I think for me the other series were lacking a Dr. Loomis. Loomis made the series more layered I think.

I had the pleasure of attending a screening of the film in Hollywood a couple of years ago with most of the cast and Debra Hill in attendance and the gave a Q&A aftwards. It was an amazing experience.
