Where are the people with the BAD singing voices in these musical universes? Are they killed? Are children who cannot sing considered "imperfect" and are thusly "eliminated"?
Do you mean like in the world of the show everyone is a great singer? I don't quite understand. But if that's what you mean, the original Nathan Detroit was completely tone-deaf. And Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady spoke almost everything.
Our Nathan was basically tone deaf, too.
There are lots of people with 'bad' singing voices in theatre. Ethel Merman, for example, was never considered to have the voice of a belle. And yet she is one of the greats of theatre
Joel Gray isnt the greatest singer either, Though I find his tone and timbre quite compelling

Ethel Merman's voice was recognizible, and that's what made her great
You guys aren't getting what he means.
I think, I'll kick this off CORRECTLY. . . .gosh, no one can take a joke.
I think the children that can't sing are sent to special schools. Where they learn to be janitors and grandparents, beacuse they never have to sing anything.

I get it.
I laughed.
...........im so tired.
and the correct term for janitor is "custodial engineer". Not trying to be pretentious, just think its very interesting. Thought I'd mention it.
Woman, there there is no need for P.C. terms here. JANITOR. . . . . I'm just sayin'. And like I said, they never have any good songs so in the musical theater world they don't matter. . . like techies.
