Homemade buttermilk pancakes or homemade buttermilk biscuits with homemade current jelly & a scrambled egg.
Crap, now I'm hungry again...
& I have to buy buttermilk for tomorrow now...
& eggs...
But I've got the jelly!

Matt,
That's what MY DAD used to have for Breakfast EVERY day!
(Unfortunately, he also had it for Lunch and Dinner!) :)

Posted: 11/5/04 at 9:11amI make joeyjoe and I Omlettes usually about 6 days a week - with turkey sausage, english muffins, juice and coffee and our vitamins - I'm a firm believer in a big breakfast to start the day right.

SMMS,
I hate to quibble, but I'm not sure there's a whole lot of protein there.

Posted: 11/5/04 at 10:22amPlum - it depends on what you mean by fried. I prepare an omlette with mostly eggwhites and maybe one yolk for color, lots of herbs and spices and chopped yellow and red bell peppers and maybe some broccolli, and make it in a non-stick pan with a little bit of olive oil (the good fat) I prepare my turkey sausage links in a shallow pan with about an inch of water - just to cover them and let the water simmer for a while til they're heated through - so its a pretty healty breakfast.

Corine, I wish I could eat that for breakfast because I LOVE it, but my stomach can't handle that first thing.
My usual breakfast is: granola bar and coffee. My FAVE breakfast is two eggs over medium, English muffin, maple breakfast sausage, good coffee and orange juice.
God, am I hungry.

My normal breakfast includes two egg whites and sausage on a toasted pumpernickel bagel. And a large cup of coffee, one Equal and skim milk.
I will crave waffles with maple syrup, chicken apple sausage, and home fries.

Posted: 11/5/04 at 12:22pmMary_Ethel: I actually don't like the taste of Nutra-Sweet. Which is why I prefer Equal. Unless you speak of Splenda, which is difficult to find in regular places that serve coffee (I've only seen it in Starbucks at the moment).
