Did anyone else watch the parade on NBC and get as sick as I did? Honestly, why bother calling it a parade? It's a freakin' NBC COMMERCIAL!
Floats? Nope.
Balloons? Nope.
Marching bands? Nope.
But, hey folks!!!! We've got anything and everything that has to do with NBC's tv
lineup!!!!
Do yourself a big favor, watch CBS. It's an actual PARADE. Not a commercial.
I'm in a letter writing mood lately, and I think I'll write and thank CBS for actually showing a parade, not a commercial for their upcoming lineup.
Aside from "American Dreams", NBC honestly sucks big time.

really?
I've been watching since it started and there hasn't been any bands at all.
I watched for an hour. All I saw was some Broadway shows (Yeah!) and Katie, Matt and Al talking about NBC programing.
The only time I saw balloons was during the 1 second before the actual commercials.
I saw no marching bands.
I learned all about the NBC Christmas movie with Kelsey Grammer and the new mid-season replacement sitcom "Committed" though. :/
Within seconds of turning on CBS, I saw actual city streets, balloons and other parade-type-stuff.

well, I switched over to CBS and all they had on was some ranting puppet
"Next up ... the cast of! ... PASSIONS!"
I mean, who would dare go to the can with that promise? Some events are so exciting, there are no words.

Days of Wine... you posted your first comment at 10:07AM. Just slightly over 1 hour into the parade. You don't see many balloons or marching bands until the parade reaches the Herald Sqaure area. The first hour is always Broadway Shows, interviews and performances. It's been this way for years and years. And of course there's a certain amount of self-promotion, but so what? I think NBC does a great job. Now snap out of your crabby mood and Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
The best part were the clips from the past parades
