i guess you werent here when my ipod dilemma happened. They're really strict about their regulations on the ipod site, since they are giving away free ipods they have to be i guess. So my friend signed up twice which is very very very much against their terms of service. They thought that I was getting un-unique referrals, so they cancelled my account on suspicion of fraud. I now have a friend who made an account and am having people be referred to that one.
tiff--you're not giving your CC# to the site itself, youre giving it for the offer you sign up for. For example, I did an offer for realplayer, so I gave my info to realplayer, which is an acredited company. I think that's the major misconception.
you dont get spammed--plus i made a hotmail email address in case i were to get spammed. They need your CC# because you sign up for a free trial, but if you want to continue the trial of whatever, they charge you for regular use, which is why you should cancel if you dont want to get charged.
i did a trial for a new realplayer thing called realrhapsoy, where you can download music legally for free--it was a 2 week trial that i cancelled after a week and a half.
