It's so much scarier doing it outside than inside eh? I climb like, 5.9+ inside, but outside in Whistler, I was climbing like, 5.7 and my knees were shaking, etc.
You should really take the belay classes. It's really useful, and pretty easy, although some people are real dolts and can't pick up the knot tying etc. Do you boulder mostly? What shoes do you have?
