Er, that'd be perfect for Cosette, but not for Madame T. She needs something loud, roudy, and funny. As I said above, you may want to create a new thread for this one.
*bows to goddess that is Delphie*
Oh, darling, on your feet now! We are all equal citizens here! *does Enjolraic pose* I'm such a Les Mizfit.
BTW, got to Gavroche's death. So. Sad.
Time to even up the score:
Delphie, you don't like Into the Woods, and I...
don't like Les Miz.

Rather than throw mud at each other, I'll shock both of you.
I've never heard so much as a note of either.

I don't know, something about the music and the constant reprises irks me.
Ah well. *goes back to listening to ITW*
Fine then. I will tell you this, though- I have given ITW several chances to impress me. Three chances, actually. The music, in my opinion, is generic. The lyrics are standouts in certain parts, and in others are just so un-Sondheim. ITW is no Sweeney, let's just put it that way.

Blockbuster?
Don't you mean get the OBCRs out of the library? I will, but I take forever to listen to CDs... I got NINE and I've been too stuck on Hair to try it yet.
I meant you should rent the video versions of both show. But the OBCRs are good too. (I also have Nine and Hair on my list... I need to get crackin'.)
And DAYUM Gov'na, thanks a lot, now I have
"He was robbing me/Raping me/Rooting through my rutabaga/Raiding my arugula and/Ripping up my rampion/(My champion! My favorite!)" stuck in my head!

Wait, they both have movies? I knew about into the woods, but not Le Miz.
HAIR is fantastic. Get the remastered, expanded OBCR and watch the movie too.
Mother cannot guide you.
Now you're on your own.
Only me beside you.
Still, you're not alone.
No one is alone. Truly.
No one is alone.
Sometimes people leave you
Halfway through the wood.
Others may deceive you.
You decide what's good.
You decide alone.
But no one is alone.
Mother isn't here now.
Who knows what she'd say?
Nothing's quite so clear now.
Feel you've lost your way?
You are not alone.
Believe me,
No one is alone
No one is alone.
Believe me.
Truly.
You move just a finger, You move just a finger,
Say the slightest word, Say the slightest word,
Something's bound to linger, Something's bound to linger,
Be heard. Be heard.
No one acts alone.
Careful.
No one is alone.
People make mistakes. People make mistakes.
Fathers,
Mothers,
People make mistakes, People make mistakes,
Holding to their own, Holding to their own,
Thinking they're alone. Thinking they're alone.
Honor their mistakes--
Everybody makes-- Fight for they're mistakes--
One another's terrible mistakes.
Witches can be right, giants can be good.
You decide what's right, you decide what's good.
Just remember:
Someone is on your side.
Our side--
Someone else is not.
While we're seeing our side--
Our side..
Our side--
Maybe we forgot: they are not alone.
No one is alone.
Hard to see the light now.
Just don't let it go.
Things will come out right now.
We can make it so.
Someone is on your side--
No one is alone.
Les Miz isn't really a movie, but rather a concert. It's not very good. Just skip it.
The only song I've heard from HAIR is the horoscope one (Aquarius? Sagittarius?). I didn't like it that much, but I still desperately want to see the show.

It's Aquarius.
GET THE OBCR AND WATCH THE MOVIE. It's great. My personal favorites are Aquarius, The Flesh Failures/Let the Sunshine In, Hair, I Got Life, Electric Blues, Manchester England and Going Down.
Slaton boy, whachoo tryin to prove? Yes, I must say, that is an excellent song. Wanna name another one and see if I agree again?
And Nia, HAIR is now on the top of my Netflix queue.

And I will check out Le Miz and Into the Woods, after I get through Nine.
I HATE THE GOVERNMENT AND THE LIES THEY SPREAD TO THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY THAT MAKES THEM THINK THAT A MAN WHO CAN'T PRONOUNCE "NUCLEAR" IS FIT TO BE THE RULER OF ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL NATIONS IN THE WORLD.

And I'm sure Bush will hear all about it, because, you know, he's so knowledgeable about the internets.
WHY?!
