The Official "The Singing Bee"/"Don't Forget the Lyrics" Thread

I must say that for some strange reason, I love the show. I was a little annoyed that they showed the same episode two days in a row, but it was interesting to watch anyway. However, this show further exploits the poor enunciation of most pop/rock singers. Maybe if we could understand what they were singing, we would be able to repeat it.

I'm just glad they finally have a show that DOESN'T deal with singing talent. Don't get me wrong, I love all the ones that do, but this one is different. I actually really enjoyed it. But I HATED the little bee dancers in the background. They were completely unnecessary.

re: The Official 'The Singing Bee' Thread

Here's a post I did in another thread

"I just wanted to say that I don't usually have a problem understanding musical theatre lyrics, but I can't listen to a pop song on LITE FM without struggling to figure out at least a few phrases in each song. Sometimes, I honestly thought that singers were saying something really dirty when they were actually saying something totally different."

Salad_Fingers85 posted in response:

"In that one song when the guy sings (descriptive hey?) "To pave paradise to put up a parking lot" I always thought that he said "To pave paradise to put up a f**k in life" which also made sense, I just couldn't figure out why they didn't need to censor it for the radio."

That was actually the song that caused me to post that. I thought he was saying "This ain't paradise, so put up with f**king love". Thank you for clearing it up. re: The Official 'The Singing Bee' Thread

I can't stand Wayne Brady. He is so phony. Why does this man keep getting work?

I like Wayne Brady -- I think he's pretty funny - and a far better host than Joey Fatone (though I admit I was surprised he wasn't as bad as I expected him to be).

Ok, can someone tell me at which times and days these shows are on? I know I'm going to end up missing them, and I actually really like them so I don't want that to happen.
