Posted: 6/25/08 at 10:40amHey, have you noticed that Jason co-starred with Michael Cera in Juno, and now he's opposite Charlize Theron in Hancock? The Arrested Development gang keeps popping up!

Posted: 2/24/09 at 5:33amSince this was bumped, I read the first post and was just thinking, "Wait - so this actor's strike is forsure now?! When did I miss this??" Glad to know it was in the past. Even happier that this movie looks like it might actually get made. I love everyone involved in separate projects, even if the quality isn't always the best (Ally, Nick/Norah, 90210, 30 Rock, Superbad, Hellboy, Juno, Scream 2 [what, it counts], Frost/Nixon, etc.) but I feel like united they made quite possibly the best comedy series in existence. The fact that it only lasted three seasons is bad enough. A missed opportunity for a movie - criminal.

mormonphobic, your point is taken, but don't disparage 30 Rock so quickly! Many of us consider it to be right there on the level with AD - the humor is very similar.
Cera would be a moron to turn down the movie. You don't turn your back on your roots - he'd be no where without AD, and to hold out on doing a movie when everyone else is on board will end up biting him in the end.

Sorry guys - but I won't believe this until my ass is in the theater chair, watching the opening titles.
I can't get disappointed again.

I love how Michael Cera took so long to agree to this. Is he above the show now that he's been in Juno and Superbad?
Either way I'm SO pumped if this project does in fact get off the ground.

Posted: 2/25/09 at 5:32amJason, I'm sorry if I came off as not liking 30 Rock. Since Arrested Development went off the air, all I have is that and The Office (well, and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia the few times it's actually on) as my go-to comedies. And 30 Rock is now (again, just in my opinion) the best comedy out there. I was just saying that they've all done work varying in quality from good to bad, but none of it is as good as AD. Heck, I shamefully admit loving the updated 90210 (I'd do anything for my Kelly Taylor fix) and Jessica Walter, though rarely used, is one of the best things about it. :)
