Mad World is one of my most played songs. I love the Gary Jules version AND the Adam Lambert version, but god do I hate the original.

I am one of the lucky people who had the chance to see Adam in both The Ten Commandments: The Musical and Wicked (I had to check my Playbill to see if he was in the cast). This man is truly a unique and marvelous talent. I can't wait for his debut album (besides the pre-'Idol' album).

I think he'd be brilliant in Hair! As Berger OR Claude :) I know he's takin' a break from the whole theater thing for a while because he's been doing it practically all his life and is ready for something new, but I DO kinda wish he'd come into Hair at some point. Simply because he obviously loves the show, knows it well, and would be so darn good in it!


But alas, he is off to be a rockstar and that's awesome too :P I cannot wait for his CD in November <3


And I also can't wait for tonight to see lots of awesome videos from the first AI concert!

I wasn't even planning to go to the concert this year, but if THAT'S the kind of shiz that is going down in that arena then I think I need to rethink some things!! DANG Adam, make me go broke with your sexiness why dontchya!

(jk jk, but I do want to try and get tickets if I can haha. Thinking that if I try getting them like a day or two before the show they might have some better seats opened up at the last minute... because right now they only have lousy seats available)

Yes, it's from the Sunday night AI tour opener in Portland. It was taken during the final song in his "set" - a David Bowie medley. And it was awesome.

Dang, that AI tour isn't coming anywhere near me. David Cook came to my town and I tried SO hard to get tickets, but he sold out in 10 minutes!!!! Hopefully Adam will come to my town on his own time one of these days (and I BETTER get tickets!!).

Do the AI finalists perform according to the order they were cut? How do these tours work? Are Adam and Kris the last to perform since they were the runner up and winner? I want to see Adam badly but don't think I could stomach seeing everyone else...especially that Megan chick.

^yeahh, they go in order of how they were eliminated, so unfortunately that means the entire first half of the show or so would be pretty darn boring

But then after intermission comes Allison, Adam, and Kris to make up for it! (we'll just conveniently pretend Danny isn't in there too)


No seriously though, Adam alone is TOTALLY worth going to the concert

I can't wait until he starts doing solo stuff and isn't tied down with the rest of the AI peeps. As much as I enjoy him, I just couldn't bring myself to buy a ticket and have to put up with everyone else (well Alison would have been ok). My sister's friend went to the San Jose performance and said there were a few protesters...just ridiculous and sad.

Yup, apparently the lovely peeps from good ol' Westboro Baptist Church were out to protest last night! And apparently Allison is a "f*g enabler" for doing a duet with Adam and, you know, being his friend along with the rest of the Idols. Such kind and loving "Christians" aren't they though?


It's truly sad and sick, but those crazies are best just to be ignored. I hope Adam just brushed it off like he has with all the other BS he's gotten. Somehow I can see him being like "well hey, you know you've made it big if the Phelps family and the WBC come out to protest against you, right?"


In seriousness though, they're beyond disgusting.


Aaanyway, I agree, I was really really considering seeing what tickets I could find for the concert, but I just don't know if I'm willing to fork over $60 or whatever to see THREE people I'll love go on in the last half hour or so of the show :/ It's SO close to worth it for Adam alone. But I have to remind myself that come November or so he'll have his album out and probably go on solo tour, which will be SOOOO much better :P

My sister's friend told her that the only performer able to get pretty much everyone in the arena to their feet was Adam. He said the arena exploded when Adam's intro started. He also mentioned that Adam was gorgeous...but we already knew that.
