Hey everyone. I've been looking around the net for mentions of Adam's possible other upcoming movie, Surviving Sundays, and finally found a mention that didn't have an obvious direct connection back to Wikepedia. It's in a biography of Ashton Kutcher. I have no idea how reliable it is.
AK Biography
I..don't plan on telling my parents about the concert until after the fact. They'd definitely think it's a little excessive, especially after just going to the shoot.
If there's any truth to the movie, it's good that he's getting roles that don't rely on his voice only. A supporting role in a film that will likely be shown in a wide release will probably get more exposure for him.
I think I may not tell mine until afterwards, either. Things are always better with my parents when I can be like "oh, by the way, did I ever tell you about the time I...?"
Parent management seems to have become quite a science.
Yes, it is good for him to get a non-singing role. He really needs to break that barrier. Apparently another actor (Bam Margera) was originally mentioned for Adam's part. I am beginning to get the sense that this is a legitimate project but with the casting still somewhat up in the air. However, almost all mentions of it come directly or indirectly from Wikepedia, so I'm not convinced yet.
It'll be nice to see Adam acting again, I really love his voice, but I like looking at him too :P.
I've just started a relationship-that-isn't-a-relationship that I'm trying to hide from my parents as long as I can. It's kinda hard to come up with reasons as to why he's the only one coming over though.
I'm glad there's someone you like, Sarah. Why do you want to hide it from your parents? To avoid the usual embarrassing reactions and questions? Maybe you should invite a few mutual friends over with him occasionally. It could make things easier all around.
Good luck, Sarah. I tried to do that for nearly a year and a half, and in hindsight I clearly didn't fool my parents as well as I thought I did.
I just watched Rent again, too. I think I've finally come to terms with the fact that it's not all it could have been, but I can love it anyway. I hadn't seen it in months.
Another movie project for Adam... (maybe). I'm happy for him if it turns out to be real, but I hope he isn't planning to steer too far from Broadway. But if it proves more mainstream than Goyband, it could give him the necessary exposure.
Exactly 1 month until I see Adam.
Hope everybody had a great holiday
Cybele has updated her blog, talking about how she has a new column on Lime.com, Lennon and she have such a long list of allergies, Lennon seems like he's allergic to anything wherever he goes, and she lists some restaurants. I suppose they serve allergen free food.
That was quite a long list. It's too bad that she has more allergy issues to deal with, after all she went through after Lennon was born. Emcee, be sure to check out that list.
Thanks for posting that, Angela.
Lennon's really lucky to have outgrown his dairy allergy. I used to be optimistic that some day I might, but I've passed any of the three ages for allergy outgrowth. One is around early school-age, the second around puberty and the third around when you start college. Poor Lennon, though. I was a lot like that when I was younger. I'm not like, "cured," but I have gotten better. I may leave a comment, since she invites input, but I'm afraid of stating the blatantly obvious.
Ok, at the risk of sounding stupid...I haven't been keeping track of Adam news much this past month or so, so I was wondering what exactly Goyband is? lol
Thanks!
We hang out a lot with our friends. We've just decided now is not a great time for a dating relationship and have decided to just keep our friendship a little "special", which is what I have to hide from my parents.
On another note, that slightly relates to the thread. I got allergy testing done last week and discovered that I now have food allergies. I'm allergic to bananas and peas, two foods which I never eat so it's not that big of deal, just a little concerning that I'm developing more allergies.

It's an independent film about a washed-up, high-living former boyband singer named Bobby, played by Adam, who somehow gets booked into the world's first kosher hotel and casino. The owner's daughter is a big fan. It seems to be a romantic comedy crossed with a culture clash comedy, and also has several musical numbers. Other cast members include Amy Davidson, Natasha Lyonne and Tovah Feldshuh.
One irony here is that the casting call indicated that a blue-eyed blond was preferred to play Bobby, I suppose to emphasize the contrast between him and the orthodox community at the hotel. Only Adam happens to be a blue-eyed, blondish Jewish guy.
Here's a link to the film's website. They seem to have a sense of humor about the whole thing.
ETA: Sarah, I hope things work out between you and your friend. Sorry to hear about your allergies. What's going on here? There seems to be an epidemic. I feel so lucky to have escaped this problem.

Heh, I just read the synopsis of Goyband, and it sounds hysterical. I just hope they don't portray orthodoxy in a really negative light.
My mother thinks the premise is beyond hilarious. I have to agree with her, though.
What she thought was even more hilarious was that I dressed up like an orthodox Jew. Not sure why. I own convincing clothes and I certainly look Jewish.
what? we're only on part eleven by now??
well, i love and miss the adam pascal...and you girls!!

I have some Jewish family friends whom I would love to tell about Goyband. I think one of them would find it extremely funny, since she has that sense of humor. I hope Goyband gets released into some theaters, and/or on DVD because otherwise I'll probably never see it. It could end up like Napolean Dynamite-an Indie film that became very popular.
I wish I could go to the February 9th consert, but no one I know is an Adam fan, so...
LOL Wow that sounds hilarious. Thanks guys! :)
The show is definitely the ninth:

I have no idea how we're going to get from the train station to the theater, unless the town is super small and we can walk...

I was thinking that on your behalves, Lexi. It's on Main Street, though, which kind of implies a centralized location? Hopefully it's close or there's public transportation.
I thought of that too, but these train stations are often within walking distance of the central part of the town. We can probably walk. :)
My own allergies have gone through fluctuations over the years. I used to be severely allergic to cats, but that's lessened as I've gotten older. Now I can actually be in the house of someone that owns cats. I've even been able to pet them. Others have gotten worse, like dust, grass, mold and mildew. This summer, I was retested (you'll remember my whining when I had to be taken off my meds
) and those were off the charts (they measure the bumps on a scale based on size, but my bumps were so huge that they added a "++++" to the highest number).
I don't think Goyband will be offensive to orthodox Jewish people. I think it's intended to be more like Bend It Like Beckham or "ethnic comedies", where you "get it" because you're in it and it's true, and that makes it all the more hilarious.
BTW, am I the only person that laughed at the thought of Adam having to go through a pricK test?
This is random but it made me smile anyway: I'm watching the movie Eloise at the Plaza (woohoo Gavin Creel!) and they showed a brief glimpse of the AIDA billboard; which was rather shizzy~
