*petitions for Tony eligibility of Company*
The Cincinnati Playhouse got the regional theatre Tony a few years ago!
heh, I told my mom that so she'd think we weren't going to some place with no credibility.
Hee, yeah, I saw that. But do you think Raul would ever do community theater? Ew.
I think I was wrong about your dream, Emcee, it's probably more complicated than that.

Hey yall...I just came in to say hi. I'm back from my track meet, but now I'm going to eat dinner with some friends and then go to our school dance. Which I'm not very excited about, but whatever. It's been a long day. I'll tell yall about it when I get home.

Hey - sorry if I'm interrupting anything, but I'm new here, obviously. I admit, I've lurked a bit, and this thread seems like a fun one, so - mind if I hop in?
After all, where else can I find people who might understand the incredible joy of finding a five-dollar copy of Model Prisoner in a used-CD store? (Listening to it now. Love love love it, of course!)
Welcome Zyla. You're not interrupting anything, the thread's kinda dead at the moment. People off living exciting lives, not me, I'm just sitting here waiting for people to post.

Guess who won the lottery? Guess who won the lottery?
I love Will Chase. I *need* a picture of him in One Song glory, with the haunted look on his face and that shadow...*drools*
I can't possibly be coherent right now, but it was amazing. And I got D'Monroe (Benny) and Matt Caplan's autographs.
:) I would say welcome Zyla, but I haven't really been on this thread long enough to say so.
But.. hey!
Hello! Don't worry, I joined the thread fairly recently as well. I was in part 4, at the end.
And congrats on the lotto win Dramatic!
Hey everyone..i've been out all day and i finally saw Walk the Line. I thought it was amazing! I loved it.
Welcome!
anything interesting happen today?
I hope that Company is a huge success, but either way I'm just so happy to be seeing it. *starts crossing days off on calendar*
When are you seeing it? I've heard a lot about Company, but am still a little confused by it, I don't know what it is, is it going to move to New York?
I have to wait months until I can see Wicked. I'm excited about it, but more excited that I get to see another show. I wish I lived closer and where there were student discounts.

Yes, welcome Zyla
Also, regarding the discussion a few pages back, the first time I saw RENT with Will Chase, he left *very* early, when people were still pouring out of the theater. He looked like he was in a hurry, so I didn't gush properly, but I did get his autograph.
This time, he slipped out second to last, when everyone was staring expectantly at the door waiting for him and Matt Caplan. Everyone saw him, but he walked very quickly, so no one was brave (or inconsiderate?) enough to stop him. Matt Caplan came out last and was *very* nice, although I felt very bad, since he was getting mobbed with people who wanted pictures and autographs. If I wasn't the first person he stopped at, I would have felt very bad asking for an autograph.

guys. you were JUST on 4. crazyness.
em? nia? ALREADY?
CS, it's a regional production directed by John Doyle (who directed the Sweeney Todd revival that's on Broadway) and starring Raul Esparza. It's scheduled for a monthlong run in Cincinnati from mid-March through April. I really have no idea about Broadway transfer hopes or how realistic they are, although I'm sure that'd be great.
Ok, thanks, I wasn't sure if it was a preview or something like that. I'm still trying to understand how broadway shows work.
No problem... it's definitely confusing.
Welcome to Zyla, and anyone else who's new.
My friends are throwing a party tonight and I don't really feel well, but I'm going anyway for the sake of being social. Hopefully it'll still be fun.
hi, Zyla!
I can't remember what I was just going to say. I'm having waaaaaaay too much fun in Rentsecret land!

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes! :)
And, Dramatic_Irony, congratulations (again) on the lotto, and on your successful stagedooring!
*Nostalgic sigh* I saw Rent onstage five years ago on an eighth-grade Spanish class trip to NYC (nothing we did on the trip had anything to do with Spanish, hehehe...I think our teacher just loves Nueva York). I still have the playbill, how geeky is that?! My first Broadway experience...it was magic. Anyway, I keep thinking about how much I'd love to see it again.
My parents and I are going to NYC this February; we have tickets for DRS (I have my fingers crossed for Norbert!), and we're considering trying TKTS as well, if we have the time to see another show. If we do that, I doubt it'll be Rent, unfortunately. My parents are into comedies (e.g. The Producers), and my dad, after seeing the Rent movie, considers it "depressing". (I say it's steeped in optimism, but, oh well.)
Yeah, I tend to ramble a lot. *shrugs*
I don't think I can deal with rentsecrets on a regular basis, but defintiely let me know when the ones you guys submitted get posted! It'll be great to see the reactions to those.
Thanks, CS... I'm going to go get ready now. :)
