Katt -- yes, I have. I read it in a couple of hours. While it's not one of my favorite books, I'd recommend it. I also loved The Bell Jar (and own Plath's unabriged journals) which is in the same vein.
BG -- yes, that's Sartre. That quote is actually from the play. It helps to know the basic conceit of existentialism before reading it (I had no idea what was going on the first time I read it), but as I said, it's absolutely brilliant.
Awesome! I killed the thread by getting all intellectual for once. :P

It sounds like we're weirdly similar. Math has always been my only weak point in the sciences, although if I were perfectly honest about it that's probably because it's never interested me enough to put for the effort to learn it. I really couldn't care less if you give me a bunch of numbers that don't mean anything.... if they relate to something important, like some sort of chemical or biological problem, it automatically becomes more interesting.
Anyway, maybe you can double-major in completely different things? Or just take a lot of elective classes, which is what I've tried to do, although it's getting to crunch time if I want to finish biology on time (psych is pretty much finished). My best friend is also one of those good-at-science-and-humanities people, and she's majoring in government and philosophy and loves being free of the science stuff. So maybe it doesn't matter that much, just see what interests you in your first few semesters.
Aww, you didn't kill the thread! It's good to be able to have a more intellectual conversation every once in a while, since most of us seem to be smarter than the average fangirl.
Yeah, I feel like we scared everyone else away! Sorry guys.

One literary discussion a day keeps the fangirls away!

I definitely see what you're saying, Ashley. I've always found math that fit in with the science classes I took to be infinitely easier than straight-up math. Granted, the math in my science classes IS a lot easier than say, pre-calc, but I never seemed to dread it as much. Thanks for all of your advice. I'm sure I'll work it all out when I actually get to college. I've also dreamt of being a writer since first grade, so we'll see how that fits into everything.

I don't know why, but an image of Adam randomly signing onto this thread to find a bunch of girls talking about nerdy stuff and immediately closing the window just popped into my head. I literally LOLed.

As much as I love the literature conversation, I must bid you all adieu. 8 am class tomorrow. Just say a prayer I don't completely go off and lose my mind...as I did earlier tonight.
What lame fangirls we are! Back to the picture posting and stuff, I say.
All of this math talk is making me sad. Math was always something I loved and something that came easy to me all the way through AP Calculus. Then I took Calc II last semester and it was a nightmare that wrecked my GPA and really shook my confidence in my abilities. I'm seriously considering taking Calc III pass/fail because I have to take it for my intended major but don't think I'll be able to understand enough of it to do well in the class, and that kills me.
LOL, Lexi!

I've had that saved on my computer for longer than I was really a fan of Adam (beyond liking his voice on the OBCR). I was a huge Hayden fangirl for a while and saved it, thinking his scruffiness was sex. I later realized I had a photo of Adam saved on my computer for a couple of months without knowing it. :)

Am I the only one who really doesn't care for the slicked-back hair?
(See, I can revert to fangirl mode!)
Oh, darn... missed the discussion on literature... totally not on purpose. *shifty eyes*
Yay pictures.
Ooh, I don't think I've seen that one before.
I think the slicked-back thing is okay, but I'm not crazy about the color in those.

Yeah I don't like the slicked back hair either, but it doesn't look too bad in that picture Lexi.

You're right, it doesn't. Plus, he's giving a sexy, lustful stare... or something.
Heh, I wonder what his hair looks like as we speak. He probably did some crazy thing to it since we last saw him.
Lexi, you're not the only one. The world would be a much happier place if all of the hot guys who use hair gel would realize that they look even hotter without it. I also love the smoldering glance at the camera in that pic *drools*
No yipping about pictures... his hair could look like this:

I had to be told that the other person in the picture is Hayden Christiansen. Is that bad? He's lovely, but I always picture him with dark hair as in Life As A House.
Noah honey, are you streaking?
That's awesome.
Life as a House! I love that movie... I should watch it again.

Yes, I am. And you love it.

I realize this sounds completely fangirlish, but I think Hayden with dark hair in Life as a House is absolutely gorgeous and stunning. I don't throw those terms around (I mean, I'd consider Adam very attractive, partially due to his talent, but I really don't think he looks drop-dead gorgeous most of the time), either. I also thought he gave a great performance in that movie. Too bad most of the public only knows him through Star Wars -- movies that I love, but really don't even allow for outstanding cast performances.
