inapropo can be funny sometimes though
I will admit that I frequent fanfiction.net though.
That's too bad Mel. *hugs*

Heh, CS, I do too. Real life fanfiction is a little wierd, but I read TV show fanfiction. I used to be a big Buffy fan and read it a lot back then. Actually I didn't go to FF.Net for Buffy so much, because the majority of the Buffy stories there suck, but for some other shows.
I guess to each their own, but so much of fanfic just takes the characters from the show and completely manipulates them beyond what Jonathan Larson created them to be, to the point where it's not even about the characters anymore, it's just the familiar names.
i just can't get into fan fiction, even if it's well written.
I cant wait to see their shirts, but im sure the obnoxiuos fan girls on here will come up with something as well. And I cant get into fanfics either

I only like to read fan fiction if it's really well written. And there were some amazing Buffy fanfiction writers. One of them even had a book published. Not about Buffy, but an original fiction book they wrote. But most of the fanfiction sucks now anyway. I won't read real life fanfiction though. That's too wierd. How can you write stories about someone you've never even met?
I've read part of them.. like a first few sentences, and I always feel so weird, like so invasive. I don't get how someone could write it and not feel weird about it.
Real life fanfiction weirds me out.
The thing that bugs me the most about fanfiction is the graphic porn stuff- especially since 90% of it is written by like 15 year old girls.
I've read a few Friends fanfics, but it does feel wierd reading them. I will def. stay away from Rent ones
Most of the stuff that has come out since the movie is sh*t, but there's older stuff. From...2001? 2002? It's really good.
Sorry, Mandi... I just can't get into any of it. Real life fanfiction... eek!
Wait, like they write stories about Anthonys life?
Well written fanfiction is an oxymoron. Sorry...
*gasps and counts number of new pages*
I do read some of the Rent fic, they don't really post real life stuff, they did once but I didn't read it because it was too weird.
I like it mostly for television shows because sometimes there are storylines that everyone wants, but the shows won't do them.
Some are really bad, where names are spelt wrong, there's no capitals, they type with numbers, if you're writing a story, at least write properly.
I don't really read the real life stuff, only the fiction. I'm a fandom geek. And, the lone fanfic fan. Oh well.
Anyhow...here's a whole bunch of real life RENT fanfiction.

Oh my....
Oh, god! Maureen and the chopsticks...Mandi, that one's hilarious. "She liked to watch the red juices spread across the rice as she jabbed at each, juicy, tender piece"? Something like that? I haven't laughed so hard at anything in quite a while.
I do sort of disagree about well-written fanfiction being an oxymoron, in at least some fandoms. There's some extremely well-written Harry Potter fan fiction (although the vast majority of it is completely awful). I guess it can't technically be good writing if you're using other people's ideas to start off, but in the technical sense some of it is good writing. And... yeah, I'm a geek.
Mandi, I sometimes read it out of morbid fascination. Like a trainwreck
I don't mind if people like it or write it or whatever, but I just know it's not for me.
I stopped reading the Adam/Anthony one after Ant leaned in to kiss him. Wow
All is good.
And I seemed to have rendered opiv speechless.
