Congrats to her, skittles! My little brother is a senior in high school this year, and I was thrilled for him when he got into one of his top two choices.

Ugh, I know that it seems like there are always roommate rants here, but mine is really ridiculous. I never watch tv, excepting one show a week. But every so often (like every week or two) I just feel like seeing what's on and watching something random. This afternoon, I just did some channel surfing and watched randon things (a few minutes of Hardball, X-Files, the History Channel, Next on MTV). I know that I watch totally bizarre things that most people don't like, but I watch tv NEVER and she watches it whenever she pleases. And yet, I get weird looks and a whiny, "Can't you just see what's on TBS or something?" NO. I don't want to watch a rerun of Seinfeld or Friends for the 87239823489th time. Perhaps I like my occasional random tv watching. I got so annoyed that I gave up on it, and now I just really, really don't want to be in the same room with her. *fumes* Updated On: 1/27/06 at 06:21 PM

Ugh why are people so DUMB?

Now on IMDb they are saying "Daphne is so AWFUL! Rosario is AMAZING! I wish Rosario was in the OBC!" to which I had to explain that if Daphne was so awful...then she would not have kept the part of Mimi from 1994 to what, 1997?

Katt, not to mention the fact that Rosario was only 16 when Rent opened on Broadway.

Perhaps I like my occasional random tv watching.

I know what you mean. When I'm bored and I'm listening to music, I'll stop the song half way or less through and listen to another. I just feel the need to change the song--no matter if it's an amazing one or not.

That's true. I know Mimi is supposed to be young, but not that young.

I know...I almost mentioned that to them, but then I figured that there would be no point.

Of course, the "You look like you're 16" line would have been pretty funny.

Gah, someone on the Adam LJ community just "announced" the 10th anniversary benefit concert because they hadn't seen it posted yet. Dude, it was first announced last JULY! Someone "announces" it once a month on LJ because they "haven't seen it posted." What rocks are all these people living under?!?

And then do people say like "Wow, thanks for letting us know". People on imdb would do that

It seems like everyone is living under a rock nowadays. GAH no one knows anything anymore. In track today, somebody mentioned a song by Kansas and this girl goes "What's that?"

Hello, Dust in the Wind anyone? Not to mention that they had a lot of other hits too.

Geez soon somebody is going to say "Who are the Beatles?"

Scary thought.

Heh, just mention Dust in the Wind as the song in the car commercial with the SUVs blowing away.

*waves* I'm off. Hopefully my computer will be in working order later tonight. *fingers crossed*

But still...Carry on My Wayward Son, Point of No Return? Geez, does anyone know anything anymore?

But an another note, my friend and I did an interpretive dance to Dust in the Wind in the school talent show last year. It was so ridiculous but it was pretty funny.

Is it so hard to use some capital letters?

Um...I don't know that song. ("Dust in the Wind") Well, I may have heard it, but I don't recognize it.

But, mind you, I've listened to country music all of my life so I never knew any "popular" songs.

I'll just google the lyrics and see if I recognize it.

Edit: I don't recognize the lyrics, but I'll see if the song is on Real Rhapsody.

Edit for the 2nd time: I'm listening to it now and I'm not sure if I heard it before. I may have. It seems vaguely familiar. But, it's kind of harsh to say "Does anyone know anything anymore?" when some people don't listen to that kind of music. Oh, and it's "Point of Know Return". I just noticed that. It's not an ALW song. Haha

Sadly I could just tell you the lyrics because I listened to it like 2345345 times in the space of two or three days when we were making up that dance.

I close my eyes,
Only for a moment
And the moment's gone.
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes of curiosity.
Dust in the wind...
All we are is dust in the wind...

That song is in sooo many commercials. Or just a couple that play a lot.

Random...but am I allowed to say sh*t in my signature or should I just change the line to stuff?

The only commercial I can think of is when all of the SUV's turn to dust when the newer version goes past them. I think it's a pretty song.

I think it's a cereal commercial, I'm not sure. But there's these two girls singing it horribly, while their parents are eating breakfast.
