What's up with the "I'M OBSESSED!!!" LJ posts? I'm not sure that's such a great thing to admit to a bunch of strangers, but ok, maybe I just missed the memo...

JL, that makes complete sense... and again is completely annoying. Who knows, maybe the blooper reel has more than the public really needs to see. But I'd still like to see it. ;~)

They're not obsessed, they're sad. And why is it that everyone feels the need to out-do each other on their obsession. Why can't they just enjoy it and not care what others think about it.

Ooh Kim, I like that idea. With all of the funny things Adam was saying, there would be some priceless facial expressions.
Does the line "I hate the fall" in Goodby Love have any significance or is it just something he says in the song?
It doesn't really have any major significance. I've always interpreted it as awkward small talk following the major fight that just took place.

It's all about showing off and going "Look what I got! NYAH NYAH I'M A BIGGER FAN THAN U!"

It seems possible to me that there'll be another edition of the DVD with a new disc containing a lot of the things you've mentioned. They obviously shot very extensive interviews with the cast during production, much more than what we saw in the documentary, plus whatever Anthony shot. The documentary also didn't delve all that much into the making of the movie. There could be a lot more material about the set and costume design, location scouting, etc.

BG, you just set off a riot of images in my head. Perhaps we should have an etch-a-sketch drawing contest to see who can come up with their interpretation of what Adam looked like when he said...
"Someone had to come and clean up my-- [y'all know what goes here]"
"Tried to slip her some tongue..."
"There's my dad's double chin!"
...oh, this is just too rich!

"They're singing, "Happy Birthday"
You just wanna lay down and cry
Not just another birthday, it's 30/90
Why can't you stay 29
Hell, you still feel like you're 22
Turn 30 in 1990
Bang! You're dead, what can you do?"

Ah...the begining of the commentary...good times.

Chloe, I hope you're right. I'd love to see all of that.
Here's the two things that annoy me to no end:
(1) CC said that whether April died because of suicide or AIDS didn't really make any difference to the story. Gotta tell ya, it did. If April died of AIDS, and she and Roger assumedly contracted HIV at the same time, then how come Roger's still in relatively good health? That does not make sense.
(2) CC said it didn't make sense for Roger and Mark to start singing to one another in Goodbye Love. Then why not just have them in an altercation that is spoken dialogue? You get the point of a confrontation, then go back to singing when Roger leaves the apartment ("You heard?", "Every word..."). Seems like a simple enough solution.
Sorry, end of rant. J'm'excuse...

Sorry, this is a little late, but I never thought of him as saying he hates the fall season. I always took that to mean that he hates that he is falling to another low point in his life, and can't deal with it, which is why he takes off to Santa Fe.

I always thought of it as the season. Seeing as how Halloween ends up kinda in the middle of fall.

I guess it could be taken either way. Maybe I just analyze things too much. :P

I always took it to mean the season too, with the connotation that fall represents death in some ways.

Since the song takes place in the cemetary on the stage, I figured that he meant the season, as he's outside.
I never thought of it your way, Katt. Interesting interpretation

Stepping back a moment, I've heard two things about Goodbye Love and that line
1. Roger is just complaining that the fall depresses him... since he's, well, depressed.
2. People sometimes speculate that April may have killed herself in the fall, and that's why he says that.
A work of art is an invitation to love.

Lol. That's how I feel, too.
I just rewatched the commentary on Out Tonight. "Yea, Daddy." Omgosh, I can't stop laughing.

Today in my history class (Fantabulous is in it too) we were talking about disco.
So.
Disco --> Saturday Night Fever --> Adam and his documentary

I keep thinking about Adam's old man voice and I keep cracking up.
