Thanks #1Elphie! I just found it, and I'm excited because I worked with Rosario in Josie & The Pussycats and she's such a doll! (Also, I'm about 90% sure that she didn't do her own singing in the movie, except for a bit of backup singing. Not that she'll be bad as Mimi, I'm just sayin'. This comment would probably be better served on the Rosario thread, but frankly, I'm scared away from Rent threads all together now!)

I know this is the 'Adam Love' thread but I'm just curious of people's opinions without starting a world war, so I'm not starting a new thread. How do you think Idina will get along with the new Joanne? She's built up quite an ego with Wicked and all... I'm just wondering how you think that will work out in Rent. Of course, being a drama queen/diva doesn't really contradict Maureen's character. I don't know, I was just thinking about how I would not want to be the newbie playing Joanne, no matter how good I was, because that would mean singing and acting and kissing/whatever else is in the script to add to the fact that they are lesbian with Idina. Do you think having been in Wicked will change how she portrays Maureen or how she acts around the other cast members?
Here in this cold white room tied up to these machines, it's hard to imagine life as it used to be. Laughing, screaming, tumbling queen... Like the most amazing light show you've ever seen. Whirling, swirling, never blue... How could you go and die? What a selfish thing to do...

Well, I think it's not really our place to say, since we don't *know* Idina. Personally, I don't think she's a diva - I think she's very shy and very humble. But, that's just me and my rose colored glass, maybe. Anyway, I think the same can be said in general about mixing these newbies with people who are arguably the ideal portrayals of these characters. I mean, Adam has an ego that's probably bigger than Idina's... he might react that way, too. Or, he might not. If we're wondering this, I'm not sure it should just be limited to Idina, but honestly, if they've al accepted the offers, they're probably willing to be open to new people.... or at least I'd hope so.

Oh ok... sorry it's been a long day :-b. Anyways yea I'm hoping that everyone will get along well. I guess as long as they have the talent they will at least be respected as performers. Even if they all hit it off as friends it won't be the same as back in 1996. Whatever. I'm just looking forward to watching this new person sing Out Tonight, even though Tiff sort of made it seem like she can't sinf... oh well I'm still excited and I know I'm getting way ahead of myself, but I seriously can't wait for the new recording. I'm really hoping that this time around they are about to get the 'rock concert feel' they were hoping for.

Well, Rosario might be able to sing but I didn't think she sang vocals on JatP. But I just read Variety and apparently she did. (I'm still a bit skeptical though.)
