On a serious note, you should never wait around, because even though I'm attached to the internet due to my work, I don't refresh my BWW window often when I'm busy.
And on a lighter note, I guess it's just instinct, insomniak. Or maybe we weren't talking about the same kind of snake. Hm.
I did begin to wonder what sort of snake we *were* discussing. Ellie seems to think it's not the one with beady eyes and scales... Hm.
I've been laughing and laughing over the last few pages. But snake???.... Why was Nia asking about a snake to begin with?
We were talking about Britney Spears-esque clothing. Remember that show where she was wearing the big yellow snake?
Of course! Everyone on the planet must have seen that picture.
That's what we were talking about! After we decided Adam was going to look like a pimp... oh God...
He'd probably do well at that given the effect he has on women... not that I think he would actually want to... but since he liked playing the Emcee so much, *playing* a pimp might appeal to him. By the way, when you were all talking about him being surrounded by scantily clad women, I immediately thought about the Emcee.
Oh, God... the mental images. Well, Emcee was surrounded by scantily clad women AND men.... he seemed to have boatloads of fun with those escapdes, though.
Well, here's hoping another show comes up that he can have boatloads of fun in. I would really like to see that. Tarzan doesn't excite me - I don't really want to see him as a narrator, not interacting with other characters.
That's what I liked about the Emcee... he was a happy medium between a role that's based on interaction with other characters and one that doesn't at all; he did a lot of lurking, and was almost always somewhere on stage. And it was also so perfect to see Adam just let loose and really prove himself. Tarzan excites me in the prospect of seeing him back on a B'way stage and because he'll probably do a LOT of singing, but he can do better.
Do you know of anything new coming along that might be good? All I could think of was Vampire Lestat (my Elton fixation), but I have no idea if there's an appropriate part or music for him there.
Hmm... I don't know much about that. I know he mentioned two roles that he had a bit of interest in:
Billy Flynn, which I think might be interesting and not totally disastrous, and Leo Bloom, which... I'd go see, but I'd probably have to do a lot of laughing... laughing AT, not WITH, unfortunately. Man can't dance. I don't know what he was thinking when he said that. Well, dancing would be an issue with Billy, too, I guess... but I think that's the kind of dancing that he could get past, like he did in Cabaret. I don't think he has the comedic chops for Leo, either, but he has the charisma for Billy.
I'm not sure if there's anything else I could see him playing.... if Hedwig ever comes back... gah. Or RHS, for that matter. He used to say he wanted to play Frankenfurter (sp?).
Billy Flynn sounds good. Leo Bloom he's not neurotic enough for. Maybe we'll just have to come up with something. NTG would write the book, of course... a story about a pimp with a chorus line of scantily clad hookers... well, maybe not.
God, I'm staying up way too late again. That seems to be an ongoing problem here. I also seem to have chased everyone but Emcee away. Come back...
But I guess I should say good night anyway.
No, I'm just developing a case of insomnia/not wanting to study.
I think I'm going to need to be in this show we're writing....
"He'd probably do well at that given the effect he has on women..."
I found that comment funnier than I should. But I'm afraid Chloe's right.
As for Tarzan - I agree that if he only sits there narrating, it won't be much fun. But who knows? Maybe they'll figure out a way to make him a more 'emcee' like figure. You know, the host of the jungle...
It's because if socially acceptable, people would throw themselves at him in half a heartbeat.
Host of the jungle?!?!? Bring on the loincloth, thank you!
*is still up*
Yeah, he should bottle it, as they say.
I suppose the narrator could interact in some way... but if it's not by stealing Jane away from Tarzan or something I'm not sure if I'll be that interested.
I'd love to see him as Frank'n'Furter. He'd kick some serious arse.
QM
Oh, okay, fine. If we're going to be serious about this... I agree with QM. And Billy Flynn would be great, too. I'd love to hear his take on 'Razzle Dazzle'.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh Razzle Dazzle. Well, he's conquered one Kander and Ebb...
Gah. What about All I Care About is Love? *heart melts*
*is still still up*
I can't quite believe this, but I've never actually seen RHPS. I guess I'll have to rent it now.
After seeing Emcee, I have much more faith that he'd rock that role.
Okay, now I'm really leaving.... really, I am... good night all.
