I believe I almost did. Every time he did something crazy, I sunk lower and lower into my seat, trying desperately to stifle my laughter. By the end of the film, I may as well have been sitting on the floor.

The movie's based on Faust, Allie. Adam's character was essentially the devil, and he stole (or went SHOPPING!!! for) peoples' souls.

OH. MY. GOD. Emcee, that thread is making my hurt from laughing so hard. It made my night!!

Yes, the dancing, arms-stretched out, pin-stripe suit picture is there. It made me almost fall out of my chair.

ADAM'S the devil?? Oh my. I'm thinking of one of the funniest scenes in that book, where Faust and the devil are by a pond or something... and these fairies turn themselves into young boys to turn the devil on... creepy stuff. Anything like that in there?? Hehe, kidding.

Allie, no. Nothing like that - Niccoli does have a really trippy implied sex scene with Alice Ripley's character, though.

So far, this is my favourite post:
NICHOLI'S GOSPEL BUS REVIVAL! I will admit that THIS was awesome. "Evil small, evil big, evil in a platinum wig!" And random people doing the conga and dressed in flowy shirts with cap sleeves and a rotating Pinocchio. Please. Awesome. Bad. I canNOT picture Adam in any sort of gospel... bus... ANYTHING! What does that even mean??

No, Nia, Emcee's too nice for anything like that. Grammar Fairy, or Grammar... Queen, or something, maybe.

nia, he probably did it because the intent was good. Powerhouse cast, new (not too shabby, really) rock score, independent film. The stuff that really made it so horrid, which was mostly the animation, was all added after the actors were completely finished with the project. He probably had no idea - and may still not know - how it all turned out.

I can't be a Queen, that's why we have QM. I'll be a fairy. :-P

ETA - Niccoli's Gospel Bus Revival made my life. I still have no idea what in hell it was supposed to be.

Agh! Laundry for me three, but I finally got my nails done after a long time and don't want to ruin them!

OH, I'm glad this site has finally been brought up; for a while I'd been so confused about some songs and Adam's voice. Niccoli's Gospel Bus Revival--wow, weirrd...doesn't even sound like Adam! But it's basically like the devil who's trying to make the world think he is the good guy, but the lyrics show who he really is.
