Her music is a lot bouncier than Adam's; a lot more of that in-your-face rock type. Bigger orchestrations - she's got a bigger band than he does. I've only heard bits and pieces of the CD and what she did at Kean, though. I don't have the CD.

I've only sampled the CD so far, and what I've heard is rock. The first track has a *smoking* electric guitar riff, while some of the others are more acoustic with some synthesizer. Her voice sounds the same, but the melodies are quite different from Rent, for instance.

Maybe you should check it out. It's called Unreleased and is available on the BC/EFA website.

I looked up the lyrics to that first song, which is really hot - there's no booklet for the CD, since it really is "unreleased" and was originally called "Souvenirs." Condensed down without repeats:

Hi Chrissy! You picked one of my favorites pictures for your new avatar! I guess no one was around for a while. Emcee, I hope you took a nice nap. How are you feeling?

I've listened to Daphne's whole CD now, and that song is definitely my favorite. It has a really hard rock instrumental sound, and her vocals on the verses go along with that in a sensual way. On the other hand, the choruses have a hint of sixties girl group harmonies, like "Be My Baby."

First typos in the Civilian booklet and now delaying HAIR? ACK. This is not acceptable. (not that it matters too much to me, because I can't buy it anyway... but ack. And if one of you got it early, perhaps I could've convinced someone to 'loan' me the tracks until I could buy it myself. Not that I'm hinting or anything.)

Dammit! I think that deceptive "Buy now" thing has been there for a while.

I just got through reading the end of the Aida thread. It was masterful the way Emcee and QM somehow got someone to go from saying he doesn't like Adam to saying he enjoyed him. You two are dangerous together.

Not that Sh-k-boom has anything to do with it, but what if the Rent movie is delayed until like 2008!?!! (As if November isn't long enough!)

Don't know what the Sh-K-Boom delays are all about, but I doubt if the Rent movie will get held up. There are a lot of financial incentives to release it at the end of this year.
