Hi!

Less than 24 hours until EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I have turned into a human howler monkey.
Have tons of fun, take lots of pictures, say hi to everyone (if you feel like you can)
oh, and get some sleep too. sleep's always good.

My lovely younger brother (okay, annoying is probably the better word) has decided that my inner animal is a monkey. And howler monkeys screech. And I kinda screeched just then because I actually went eeeeee out loud. 'Cause I'm sorta hyper, having just been subjected to tasting about four different types of cookies my mom is baking for a fundraiser.

Until three doesn't sound good, Emcee. You look great in straight hair, but are you sure it's necessary to straighten it this time? You'll blend in with the new Adam do better if you don't, probably.

Yes, it's necessary! Actually, very silly reason - he's never seen me without my hair straightened, and if he's even going to semi-recognize me, the curls would probably throw him off.

I might just have to take a few tomorrow morning- I have a band rehearsal at seven. Which means I have to get up at five thirty. In the morning. Before the sun has fully risen.
I really should go to sleep now... but I wanna stay heeeeeeere.
Eh, I'm being kicked off now anyways.

Emcee, this is just my opinion but I think natural waves would really fit with your outfit better than freakishly straight hair. And sleep is good.

Thanks, Chloe! It's a glass chandeleir by Dale Chihuly. Are you familiar with Chihuly? I love his work; I was lucky enough to see an exhibit last year. Just gorgeous- the colors, the designs, the hundereds of little branches that go into each scuplture, the shapes....

ok, sorry. I LOVE this man's art way too much.

I may not do it freakishly straight. I'll probably let the ends curl. The other problem is that if it's windy, and my hair's curly, that's not a good combination. My curls aren't quite tight enough to withstand wind, and I just end up with a puff of frizz.

6 hours of sleep should be fine, I think. I'll be running on pure adrenaline, anyway.

Actually, I have heard of Chihuly, only because Elton is also a big fan and had bought some of his work. (Okay, I'm just as geeky as everyone else.) I'm glad to have a chance to see an example of it - absolutely gorgeous!

Chloe, that photo REALLY does not do it justice. A work like that would be huge, a story or two tall. Hundreds or thousands of individual pieces would go into something like it. If you ever get a chance, go see something he's done. His ceilings are really amazing too, tons of glass dishes, bowls and other blown pieces all collaged together. I can;t really describe it. Go google.

I'll definitely check him out some more.

But first, a couple of Rent movie items. There are a couple more cast members listed now, April and Gordon. April looks like a good choice (and I don't think she has any lines, so...) She's pretty but slightly tough looking too, and could conceivably be thought of as smiling like Mimi.

Also, there was an article posted on CB about some Rent locations in SF - they found the grungiest section left. One place will be the Cat Scratch Club.

Hi, Chloe, Emcee, nia .

Wedding Part 1 & 2 (out of 3 - sigh) is this weekend, but I'm taking tomorrow off and am locking the laptop somewhere so that I don't somehow find myself working. (Actually, it's a national holiday tomorrow, but I always seem to be working no matter what day it is.) So that's why I'll be away for a bit.

I'm getting used to it, too, Chloe. But it's still pretty bad.

Emcee, is this when we're supposed to start yelling at you to go to bed? I know you said you'd be up until three just now, but maybe that's not a good idea. If you're anything like me, if you aim for three, you'll end up going to bed at 4:30 anyway. Aiming for one might be safer.
